It is with great sadness and much heartache that we mourn the loss of a great soul. Our Protector Daniel Huertas, at the age of 48. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Kayla Huertas; his stepdaughters Monica, Bianca, Lucy and Gabriella; as well as beloved Lelo to Christopher, Sulima, Johnathan, Jaelynn and Josiah; also, his close friend/brother-in-law Nicky. He is survived by Jazmine Huertas (Daughter) & William Huertas Jr (Brother) Distant Family Tito Huertas, Omaira Huertas and numerous family members and friends he crossed paths with throughout life. Now he will finally join his mother, Grandfather and Mother-in-law, Martha Iris Amaro, Luis Rodriguez Amaro and Salima Rivera Moya in heaven and Rest in Paradise. Danny was born in Miami, Fl on November 25th, 1974. He grew up on the North side of Chicago and was die hard Chicago Cubs fan who bled Cubbie Blue till the very end. He was known to be a loyal and loving husband to his wife Kayla, who was truly the love of his life, his rider throughout the best and worst of times. He had cared so much about his stepdaughters, mentoring them as they matured into intelligent and responsible young women, often giving them sound advice and motivation when they needed it the most. His grandchildren adored him so much, which they lovingly called him their Lelo. He showered them with so much love and affection since birth. Danny was also a great friend, so loyal and unselfish. He was the type that would give you the very shirt off his back when a friend was in need, even when he had nothing much for himself. There aren’t too many stand up guys like that still exist in this day and age. As Danny used to say, “Life will get greater Later”. He will be greatly missed by all those who were touched by his kindness and warm smile. A Celebration of Danny’s life will be held on Saturday, August 19th, 2023, at Fullerton Funeral Home located at
5735 W Fullerton Ave, Chicago, IL 60639.
