Bolivar R. Pitre

Bolivar R. Pitre, 83, of Chicago, born on May 22nd 1938, in Puerto Rico, peacefully passed away on April 15, 2022 after a battle with cancer.
We mourn the loss of our father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Our dad was passionate about music; specializing in playing the cuatro. He was also a celebrated chef. He could always be found playing and singing and cooking; especially during the holidays.
We encourage any and all who knew him to remember the beauty he brought to this world; such as his generosity and his kind and forgiving heart. He was also the most loving friend, mentor and confidant who found strength in his faith.
He was predeceased by his son Luis Pitre and his sister Amelia Molina and brother Mariano Roman.
He is survived by his children, Sonia (Dave), Rene, (Maria), Marilyn, Elsie, and Sonia. His 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, girlfriend (Judy), and many other family members and friends.
For any interested, services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 4pm to 8pm at Fullerton Funeral Home 5735 W. Fullerton, Chicago, Illinois
